Wakatobi National Park, located in Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province.
Wakatobi National Park which was established in 1996, with a total area of 1.39 million hectares, concerns marine and coral biodiversity which occupies one of the highest priority positions of marine conservation in Indonesia.
The beauty and richness of the Wakatobi National Park area is actually well known abroad, especially after the Wallacea Expedition from England in 1995 which stated that this area in Southeast Sulawesi was very rich in coral species.
