Bunaken – Amazing Underwater Scenery Under The Sea

Bunaken National Park is one of the mainstay tourist destinations of Manado City, North Sulawesi, and is one of the most beautiful marine parks in the world. The park is located in the Coral Triangle, which is a habitat for hundreds of species of coral reefs as well as various types of fish and other marine biota.

The distance from Bunaken from the port of Manado is about 7 miles and can be reached in about 50 minutes if using a double-engine motor boat or only about 35 minutes if using a speed boat. There are 5 islands included in this national park, namely Naen Island, Bunaken Island, Manado Tua Island, Siladen Island, and Mantehage Island along with its surrounding islands.

The Three Gods Prambanan Temple

Prambanan or Loro Jonggrang is the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia, which was built in the 9th century AD . This temple is dedicated to Trimurti , the three main Hindu gods are Brahma the creator god , the god Vishnu as the preserver , and Shiva the god of destruction . Based on the inscription Siwagrha original name of this temple complex is Siwagrha ( Sanskrit which means ‘ house of Shiva ‘ ) , and indeed in garbagriha ( main hall ) of the temple is the statue of Shiva Mahadeva dwells as high as three meters which showed that Lord Shiva in this temple are preferred .

This temple complex is located in the Prambanan subdistrict , Sleman and Prambanan sub-district , Klaten , approximately 17 kilometers northeast of Yogyakarta , 50 kilometers southwest of Surakarta and 120 km south of Semarang , just on the border between Central Java and Yogyakarta . It is very unique , Prambanan temple is located in the administrative region Bokoharjo village , Prambanan , Sleman , while the entrance of the Prambanan temple complex located in the administrative region Tlogo village , Prambanan , Klaten .

The Largest Temple Borobudur

Borobudur is a Buddhist temple located at Borobudur, Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. The location of the temple is approximately 100 km south-west of Semarang, 86 miles to the west of Surakarta, and 40 km northwest of Yogyakarta. Stupa temple was founded by the Mahayana Buddhists around the year 800 AD during the early reign of the Sailendra dynasty. Borobudur is the largest Buddhist temple or shrine in the world, and one of the largest Buddhist monument in the world.

The monument comprises six square terraces upon which there are three circular courtyard , the walls decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues are original . Borobudur has the most complete collection of Buddhist reliefs in the world and . The main stupa in the middle of the biggest teletak once crowned this building , surrounded by three rows of 72 circular perforated stupas in which there is a statue of Buddha sitting cross-legged in the lotus position perfectly with the mudra ( hand gesture ) Dharmachakra mudra ( turning the wheel of dharma ) .
